Background:
Ken Oxsalida graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Miami-Dade University Advertising Design Program in 1975. He soon started his own advertising agency and proved to have strong marketing and promotional capabilities while developing his talents as a writer, producer, art director, creative director, media director, promotion director and retail merchandiser. Oxsalida has been entrusted with augmenting the media, creative, promotions and account management for Potamkin Automotive, one of the nation's largest dealership groups in South Florida. His marketing programs for the group, which includes Chrysler, Chevrolet, KIA, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Jeep, resulted in creating $540 million in sales. Oxsalida produced an additional $94 million for other automotive-related dealers.
Telecommunications:
Oxsalida was directly responsible for highly successful national and international direct response programs for Codetel, a GTE company located in the Dominican Republic and one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. Oxsalida designed and implemented direct response programs in over 20 countries, generating over 1 million minutes of long distance calls per day. Oxsalida was also instrumental in creating campaigns to help launch Network 1, one of the first new long distance companies following the break up of AT&T. Oxsalida also helped introduce and promote the first cellular phones, which cost $1,999 each, considered a bargain price at the time. In less than one year, Network 1 was sold for $50 million to Metro Media which was eventually bought out by MCI Communications.
Real Estate:
Some of the nation's largest oceanfront and resort developers have relied on Oxsalida's unique marketing programs, not only to sell out their developments, but do it quickly. Under Oxsalida's direction, nationally recognized developers such as Crescent Heights, The Fallstaff Group, The Hertz Group, and others, have sold over 10,000 units with over $1.5 billion in gross sales. Most notable: Oxsalida sold out a 170-unit real estate project in Philadelphia, in one day, in a snowstorm.
National Football League:
In 1982, Oxsalida developed a relationship with the NFL when his agency created and produced limited-edition lithographs of Don Shula, Bob Greise and Larry Czonka, representing the Miami Dolphins 1972 Perfect Season.
Health and Beauty:
Oxsalida created and implemented a national direct response program for a consumer diet supplement by Nature's Remedies that resulted in one million units (at $29.95 each) being sold in one year. Oxsalida was also able to negotiate 70% to 80% off rate card rates in the overall media buys, substantially reducing the CPM. The program was a huge financial success for their first venture.
Food Industry Marketing:
Funny Bagel Food Company IN 2001. By helping to launch 15 new products in one year, his agency moved a start-up Miami company from zero sales to a national high-profile company with over 250,000 units sold per month. With a $3.5 million ad campaign featuring innovative product designs, in-store promotions, website promotions, sweepstakes, kids loyalty rewards program and exceptional media planning, the agency made Funny Bagels a coast-to-coast phenomenon. Oxsalida's agency was instrumental in Funny Bagels becoming a finalist for the prestigious 2002 Cutting Edge Award honoring the top company of the year, in its very first year, as well as winning Best New Kosher product of the year award, and gaining recognition for its award-winning package designs. Funny Bagels was featured on the Today Show as one of the "hottest new products" of the year.
For the past 8 years Ken Oxsalida has helped launch Youth Enhancement Systems/Dynamic Response Group, a Direct Response marketing business. Since it’s inception Ken has helped launch over 25 direct response products including a unique Hair Growth product called Procede ($25 Million in sales), and most recently with Riddex Pest Control devise (over 1 million units sold first year). Ken is responsible for writing and producing all concepts, directing TV spots, web and Internet business, catalog business, telemarketing and fulfillment and the day to day management of each product. The company which was a start up with no products went from $0 revenue to nearly $40 Million in sales in 2008, up from $9 million in 2007. All together sales totals nearly $100 Million by the end of 2009.
